Dark Field Microscopy

A single drop of blood, viewed live, can reveal what hundreds of euros in laboratory tests cannot show. Dark field microscopy allows real-time observation of blood cell quality, the presence of microorganisms, uric acid crystals, oxidation levels and signs of imbalance.

It is not a substitute for conventional blood counts, but a qualitative tool that provides immediate functional information. Ideal as a starting point for a naturopathic therapeutic plan or for monitoring treatment progress.

ES-TECK Complex

The ES-TECK is a bio-impedance system that assesses the functional state of organs through non-invasive electrical measurements at acupuncture points on the hands and feet.

In just a few minutes, it generates a functional map of the body: energy levels of each organ, autonomic nervous system status, acid-base balance, cellular hydration and detoxification capacity. It is particularly useful for patients with multi-systemic complaints where conventional tests are inconclusive.

Mesotherapy

Microinjections of therapeutic substances directly into the affected area. Founded in 1958 by Dr. Michel Pistor in France, mesotherapy follows the principle "little, rarely, in the right spot" -- maximum local efficacy with minimal systemic dose.

The local dose is 5-10 times higher than the concentration achieved orally, with 80-90% less total substance in the body. Fewer side effects, more results.

Applications

Two fields of application

Medical Mesotherapy

Musculoskeletal pain (back, neck, shoulder), knee osteoarthritis, tendinitis, headaches. Local injections of anti-inflammatories, lidocaine and vitamins -- 5-10x higher local concentration with 80-90% less total dose.

International guidelines 2025: 4mm/27G needle, 2mm depth, max. 0.1-0.2ml per injection.

Aesthetic Mesotherapy

Mesolift (rejuvenation): hyaluronic acid, vitamins, amino acids. Cellulite: phosphatidylcholine, caffeine, L-carnitine. Hair loss: biotin, dexpanthenol, minerals. Visible results after 2-3 sessions.

RCT 2023: HA meso-cocktails significantly improved hydration, elasticity and fine lines.

Safety of Methods

All complementary methods offered at Biomarine Clinic are non-invasive or minimally invasive, with well-documented safety profiles. Microscopy requires only 1 drop of blood. ES-TECK and bioresonance are completely painless. Mesotherapy uses ultra-fine needles (27-32G) with minimal discomfort.

Our practices follow the latest international guidelines and current Portuguese legislation.
